jloJennifer is Of Counsel with Ojeda Legal, LLC. Her practice focuses on Trucking Litigation, Wrongful Death Cases, Catastrophic Injury Cases, and Appellate Representation in State and Federal Courts. Nearly 100% of her practice is devoted to working on trucking cases.

At the trial court level, Jennifer has experience successfully representing individuals and families in complex and catastrophic personal injury cases including: trucking collisions and automobile collisions often involving wrongful death claims.  Jennifer previously served as conflict counsel for the Department of Administrative Services in several federal court cases.

In addition to her work at the trial court level, Jennifer also has experience handling appeals before the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  Past cases include her successful defense against a motion for summary judgment affirmed by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jennifer graduated with the designation of High Honors from the University of Florida, where she later received her law degree, cum laude.  Jennifer is active in the legal community and is involved with the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.  She was nominated and selected as a “Committee Star” by the 2007-2008 Board of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.  Jennifer also served as an Official Judge for the 2008 Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition at Emory Law School.

Outside of the legal world, Jennifer dedicates much of her time to her community.  She is currently the Dog Training Coordinator for Adopt A Golden Atlanta, a volunteer run, nonprofit organization dedicated to finding warm, loving permanent homes for Golden Retrievers, which prevents them from becoming strays or adding to overpopulation of local shelters.  She has also been a proud foster parent of numerous Golden Retrievers and “honorary” Golden Retrievers.  In addition to her work on behalf of the “four paw” community, Jennifer recently coordinated a charitable dinner at the Nicholas House, which is an organization that helps homeless families achieve self-sufficiency while providing them with a temporary place to live.  She also serves as the Secretary of her home owners association in the Vinings.
